Enrollment
To enroll a student at Academy of Dance, an ENROLLMENT FORM must be completed signed and dated by the student’s parent or guardian (if under 18 years of age). A $25.00 per student, $50 for 2 students or $60.00 per family non-refundable registration fee is required at the time of registration. This fee covers administration costs and will reserve a place for the student in an appropriate class. This is a one-time fee as long as the student continues taking classes.
Enrollment Changes
If a student would like to unenroll from a class, you must notify us via email prior to the 1st of the month. If we are not notified, we will continue to hold a spot in class for the student and you will continue to be responsible for paying class tuition.
If you need to make any changes to your dancer’s schedule, please email us as soon as possible.
Communication
You will receive important information via email regarding costume orders, upcoming shows, deadlines, schedule changes, studio policies, etc. Please make sure that you are receiving our emails and to read each one thoroughly. It is important to stay informed.
Performance Opportunities
Enrolled students will have the opportunity to perform in two annual performances. All students are encouraged to participate, however participation is not required. Students who choose to participate will be required to purchase costumes. Students will receive COSTUME ORDER FORMS several months prior to each performance. The form must be completed and submitted along with payment in full, by the costume form due date. Dress rehearsals are mandatory. If a student is absent from the dress rehearsal, they may be unable to perform.
Student Pick-up/Drop-off
Please do not drop off students any earlier than 5 minutes prior to their class time. Students under the age of 11 should be supervised at all times when not in class. Please make sure to pick up students immediately following their class.
Parents and Guests
All visitors of Academy of Dance must conduct themselves in an ethical and appropriate manner while at our facility. Academy of Dance staff members work very hard to provide children and adults with a positive learning environment. Yelling, cursing, gossip and slander are not allowed and will not be tolerated.
Parents, for the safety of all customers and guests please supervise any children that you bring to the facility AT ALL TIMES! Keep your children within of your arms reach. PLEASE DO NOT allow your children to play outside on the porch or in the parking lot. Academy of Dance has a NO FOOD/DRINK policy for students, parents, siblings and guests. Water in a sealed container is encouraged.
Inclement Weather
The fall/winter season can bring unexpected and stormy weather. From time to time, the studio will need to close in an effort to keep our staff and students safe. If the weather is questionable, an email message will be sent out on whether or not we will be having classes & our Facebook page will be updated. Any missed classes, due to a studio closure can be made up in any other class at the student’s level.
