Naleah Peerson is 18 years old and has been dancing for 15 years, all of which have been at Academy of Dance. She trains in Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Tap, Hip-Hop, Acro, and Pointe techniques, and has been a member of Synergy Dance Company for 10+ years. As a member of Synergy’s competition team, Naleah has won numerous Overall Awards and Judge’s Choice Awards for solo, duos, trios and group routines. Naleah was also chosen for the Excellence in Student Choreography Award at Headliners Dance Competition in 2020 and the Spotlight Dance Cup Choreography Award in 2021. In addition to her many years of classes at Academy of Dance, Naleah has also learned from Xiung Fu, Francisco Gella, Bill Hotaling, Brian Friedman, Tessandra Chavez, Mark Meismer, Shannon and Emma Mather, Blake McGrath and many other talented instructors/choreographers. To say that dance is Naleah’s passion would be an understatement! She never misses an opportunity to dance, learn, train, and grow in her dance skills and knowledge. Naleah completed Academy of Dance’s Teacher Assistant and Apprentice Programs in 2019 and has experience teaching all styles of dance to a wide variety of ages. Additionally, she is the Synergy Elite Petite performance and competition team director. Naleah has fallen in love with teaching younger students and absolutely loves being able to choreograph and mentor dancers of all ages and levels.
