From the moment Kate entered this world, she was driven by a passion for performing in every way possible. Despite her attempts to maintain a tomboy persona, she quickly fell in love with ballet, tap, and jazz. An avid music lover, Kate plays the piano and guitar, and she enjoys singing along with her ukulele. Throughout high school and college, she participated in musical theatre productions and continues to sing in small groups whenever she gets the opportunity. Initially, Kate pursued a business major in college, but her focus gradually shifted back to the performing arts, particularly dance and gymnastics. It was after college that she discovered a profound love for Hip Hop, captivated by its musical and lyrical complexities. She relishes the unique challenge and freedom this dance style offers her while choreographing routines. As a wife and mother of four, Kate cherishes her time at home with her family. She finds joy in sewing and creating her own clothing patterns, allowing her to balance her passions. Additionally, she has designed and crafted costumes for Academy of Dance's ballet productions, including lead costumes for classics like "Beauty and the Beast," "The Nutcracker," "Peter Pan" and "Cinderella". Kate's journey in choreography began with her five siblings, and she has since evolved her craft to work with the incredibly talented students at Academy of Dance
