Nicole started training exclusively in ballet at a very young age. When she went into middle school, she started to study other genres of dance and movement including jazz, tap, drill team, and cheerleading. In high school, she continued training in jazz and tap and was a varsity cheerleader. Nicole also joined a competitive dance team that competed in various competitions throughout California. After high school, Nicole received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Washington State University. She took a break from dancing, but it has always held a huge piece of her heart. When she became a mom, and her daughter was introduced to ballet, the desire to become involved in the dance scene again started to grow.
Nicole became a group fitness instructor in 2017 and is certified in three different group fitness formats including Surge Fitness, Surge Strength, and TRX . She has been a student in Academy of Dance's adult ballet/lyrical class and the feeling of being back at home while dancing fully set in. Nicole is looking forward to encouraging young people to fall in love with dance while also encouraging them to have a strong work ethic.
Nicole has been married to her high school sweetheart since 2008 and they have two amazing children. One is a dancer, who has been at Academy of Dance since 2016, and the other is the best dance brother you could ask for. Their family enjoys traveling, being outdoors, being active members of their local church, and are always on the hunt for the very best coffee you could ever ask for.
